Self-Care: How to Avoid Burn Out

Workshop Description

If you are going to be of used to others you first have to know how to look after yourself. As every flight attendant will tell you: “Please fit your own mask before helping others”. What many people don’t realise, is that self-care is not simply about finding ways to de-stress after a hard week, it is mainly about shaping your life and work so there is less to de-stress. In the workshop learn the ABCs of looking after yourself and being sustainable in ministry.

Speaker Bio

Joanne works for Mind Health as a counselor and supervisor, and has a wonderful ability to work with adults, adolescents and children. She is compassionate and insightful. Joanne has been in ministry and knows the pressures many face in caring for others. Her aim is to help people gain the insights they need to thrive in life through counselling, coaching and supervision of those in pastoral work.
