Pope Francis exhorts us to have a heart that is youthful. Jesus himself, in the Gospel, tells us that we need to become like children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Yet, it can be difficult to maintain a childlike, youthful heart in our society which laughs at simplicity, purity, hope, and dependence. How can we cultivate the characteristics and virtues of a youthful heart – both in ourselves, and in those we work with? God desires this for each and every one of us.
Karen finds great joy in journeying with others, especially young people, as they navigate the ups and downs of life. She currently works as the guidance counsellor at a Catholic secondary school in Auckland. Karen is particularly passionate about helping others to grow in their relationship with Christ, and sharing the teachings of Pope St John Paul II on human love in the divine plan.
