Our CYT volunteers are youth and young adults who feel a fire for youth ministry. They have all kinds of different gifts to offer, from playing instruments through to running games, and all of them have one thing in common: a desire to see the young people of Christchurch Diocese encounter God.

 what do volunteers do?

Volunteers are involved in assisting with the range of events throughout the year. Camps, rallies, worship nights, youth masses, sports events – whatever your talent or passion, there’s most likely a place for it!

Our volunteers use their giftings in various ways, including lighting & sound, cooking, small group leading, running sports, art, music, running games, giving talks/testimonies and making connections with youth.

 how can i get involved?

We want to make sure volunteers are given the best possible formation before ministering to youth, to develop their personal relationship with Christ and support them as well as protecting the youth we minister to.

If you want to volunteer at CYT events, we would love you to first sign up for Frontline Formation Programme and contact our Formation Coordinator Sandra to let her know you’re interested in getting involved!
