Sinead Gilgunn formation and young adult coordinator

Sinead is from Ireland and moved to NZ in 2011. She has an educational background in Theology and has completed a Masters in Pastoral Studies.
 

The Catholic Youth Team strives to provide formation for the young people of Christchurch Diocese through ongoing formation programmes such as Frontline and annual events such as EXALT Conference and the Youth Ministry Training Day.

 
 
 
 
 
 
EXALT Music Ministry Conference is a national conference which brings together musicians, music coordinators and those with a love of music from around the country to hear national and international speakers. Small groups, interview panel, worship nights, Mass, music in liturgy – opportunities to experience the beautiful width and breath of Catholic music ministry.
In 2016 the key speaker was Joe Zambon, Canadian Catholic singer-songwriter.
The Youth Ministry Training Day is a day of formation for parish workers, priests, young leaders, youth leaders and all who work, volunteer or are interested in youth ministry. Network with others who share the same passion, attend elective sessions and grow in practical skills and knowledge for serving in youth ministry.
This will be held on the 16th of June 2018.
Frontline Discipleship Programme from 2017 onwards is a streamed formation programme. Frontline is open to all Yr 11-13’s and young adults age 18 – 35. Frontline begins with a camp weekend to kickstart the year and is followed by eight sessions from Feb – May.
